Developed with MediaTek and SIMO, MindOne embeds global fallback connectivity across 140+ countries to keep AI active wherever networks break down
Las Vegas, January 7, 2026 — iKKO has officially announced MindOne, a new class of ultra-portable AI smartphone created in strategic collaboration with MediaTek and SIMO. Unveiled at CES 2026, MindOne is built around a single idea: AI should never vanish simply because connectivity becomes unreliable.
At the core of MindOne is a connectivity-first architecture powered by MediaTek’s MT8781 platform and SIMO’s patented Virtual SIM™ (vSIM) technology. Together, they enable automatic global fallback mobile data connectivity across more than 140 countries, allowing AI services to remain available when Wi-Fi drops, roaming fails, or physical SIM networks become unstable.
As artificial intelligence evolves into a constant personal assistant rather than an on-demand feature, iKKO believes uninterrupted connectivity is no longer a convenience—it’s a requirement.
Reimagining AI as a Continuous Companion
Today’s mobile AI often depends on ideal conditions: strong Wi-Fi, familiar networks, or carefully managed roaming plans. In reality, life happens in motion—at airports, across borders, between meetings, and in moments when ideas surface unexpectedly.
MindOne is designed for those moments.
By embedding redundancy connectivity directly into the device, MindOne removes the need to search for networks or manage SIM cards, allowing AI tools to remain accessible in real-world, imperfect environments.
The result is a shift from “AI when available” to “AI that stays with you.”
Always-On AI, by Design
MindOne is not built around apps—it is built around presence. Its Always-On AI philosophy is defined by three core principles:
- Continuity — AI remains accessible even when primary networks fail
- Immediacy — capture ideas, conversations, and tasks the moment they arise
- Mobility — consistent AI experiences across countries and conditions
When connectivity becomes invisible, intelligence becomes effortless.
vSIM: Making Global Connectivity Feel Effortless
For MindOne, connectivity is infrastructure, not a feature toggle. Without data access, AI becomes fragmented and unreliable.
SIMO’s Virtual SIM™ technology provides a built-in fallback data layer that activates automatically when primary connections degrade. This approach enables:
- Instant mobile data backup without configuration
- Seamless cross-border usage without SIM swapping
- Reduced reliance on public Wi-Fi or roaming plans
- Greater resilience for AI-powered services in unpredictable environments
Users don’t manage networks—MindOne does it for them.
MediaTek MT8781: A Platform Built for Always-Connected Devices
MindOne runs on the MediaTek MT8781, a platform engineered for efficient power usage and stable connectivity, making it ideal for compact, always-on smart devices.
Through close collaboration with MediaTek, iKKO optimized MindOne at both the hardware and system level to intelligently manage connectivity across diverse global network scenarios.
“MindOne is about making sure AI doesn’t disappear when the network does,” said Echo Chan, CEO of iKKO.
“AI should be present the way time is present—always there. You speak, it listens. You move, it follows.”
Voices from the Partnership
“Virtual SIM™ allows manufacturers to integrate global, multi-carrier fallback connectivity directly into their devices,” said Jing Liu, CEO of SIMO.
“MindOne shows how resilient connectivity can sustain AI experiences across borders and network failures.”
SIMO’s vSIM technology supports configuration-free fallback connectivity in over 140 countries, subject to local network availability.
“As devices become AI-driven, connectivity becomes the foundation of intelligence,” Liu added.
“MediaTek platforms are designed to deliver reliable connectivity, energy efficiency, and strong performance for AI-enabled devices,” said CK Wang, VP and GM of MediaTek’s IoT Business Unit.
“MindOne demonstrates how layered connectivity and platform optimization can support truly Always-On AI.”
A Card-Sized Device Built for a Global AI Lifestyle
Despite its ultra-compact footprint, MindOne is designed for serious everyday use:
- Built-in global fallback mobile data connectivity (MediaTek platform + SIMO vSIM)
- Dual-system environment: Android combined with iKKO AI OS
- On-device AI tools for productivity, travel, study, and focus
- Low-power architecture enabling all-day usage in a pocket-sized form
MindOne doesn’t ask users to adapt to technology—it adapts to how people actually move through the world.
Availability
MindOne will launch globally on February 8, 2026, with a suggested retail price between US$329 and US$499.
The product makes its official debut at CES 2026.
